SiriusXM (SIRI) shares rose further Wednesday, a day after announcing it had signed a multi-year agreement with Alex Cooper starting in 2025. The satellite radio company is getting the popular podcaster’s “Call Her Daddy” show, as well as ad sales rights to her Unwell Network.
The deal, according to CNN, is for three years and worth $125 million, double her current arrangement with Spotify Technology (SPOT).
Cooper is host and executive producer of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, which offers unfiltered advice on relationships, health, culture, and more. SiriusXM calls Cooper “the world’s leading female podcaster.”
SiriusXM Says Deal Features ‘Strategy for Exclusive Content’
The company said the agreement “features a comprehensive programming development strategy for exclusive content with SiriusXM, expected to begin rolling out in 2025.”
SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein said the addition of Cooper “perfectly aligns with the content that SiriusXM subscribers have come to love and expect from us.”
Shares of SiriusXM closed 6.9% higher Tuesday after the announcement and were up a further 2.3% to $3.32 as of noon ET. Still, they are down almost 40% this year.
